Question by Ann: Insurance payment on total loss?
I had a car accident and the insurance declared a total loss on my car. They were going to pay me the value of my car ($ 8000) + sale tax + title & registration fees. However, when I decided to keep my car, they only paid $ 7320 ($ 8000-$ 680 which is the salvage value of my car). They did not pay me the sale tax and title & registration fees because they said I got to keep my title and registration. This was not true because as soon as they notified the state motor vehicle dept. that my car was declared a total loss, my title and registration were cancelled. I had to reapply for the rebuilt title and new registration which cost $ 150. I wonder if I am entitled to a reimburse me the tile and registration fees from my insurance. Thank you in advance for any suggestions.

No.
Since you kept the vehicle it is your responsibility to pay for any additional title fees.
