Salvage vehicle inspections?

I have a little problem. I live in Illinois and I got a letter of salvage vehicle inspection.
I bought 2007 Nissan Sentra on August 2, 2008.
I bought this car from this guy. He bought it from an auction and it was after this car was in an accident. He fixed it and I bought it. Now I got this letter and I don’t know what to do.
It lists all the documents I need to show them when I go to the inspection but I don’t have any of them!
I got this and some other letter

Do I contact the guy that I bought the car from? Does he have to go with me on the inspection?
What do I do?

Well, I can only hope that it’s near the same here in NY. Did you get a title from the guy you bought It from? In any event, here is what the DMV Salvage wants. A receipt for any parts replaced to bring the vehicle to Pre-Accident shape. Now being as how its a newer car the parts on this car will have Vin # if they are off a junk yard car. If they are you got to hope they are not stolen parts or off a car marked “Stolen” such as “Air Bags” Transmissions Motors Dash boards and sections like quarter panels and fenders. Did they ask you to bring anything else? If so, in NY State if you can not produce these things you better call them BEFORE you arrive for your appointed time. This way you can postpone rather come there Ill Equipped. One other thing that is real important here in NY. These guy’s here are frustrated Cops. Meaning they will look for any reason to act like one. So, if you say borrow some ones license plates (Not your’s) They are gone. They will take them and leave you stranded. Here, you need a State Inspection Before you go to the inspection. If you can and do know someone Tow the car there by Flatbed or tow truck rather then jeopardize someones plate. It is a tough thing but the main item will be the “Parts List” that fixed the car. Good luck. And he doesn’t HAVE to go but if the parts are stolen and they want to make an arrest, who better?
