Every one of these somebody drove home the first time from the dealer’s, brand-new, then washed, waxed, vacuumed, and worried about getting the first scratch or door-ding on it. Rust happened, and maybe an accident, or repair that wasn’t under warranty anymore. Sooner or later, nobody wanted them anymore, and nobody tends to keep sinking money into an aging car.
